Canon Bryan Witt was born in Gloucester in 1952 and moved to Hampshire when just a few months old. He attended Agricultural College 1970 to 1973 and farmed on the family dairy farm.
Bryan trained for the ordained Ministry at St Michael’s Theological College and Cardiff University of Wales until Ordination in 1984. He was a Curate of Betws cum Ammanford from 1984 until 1987 and Vicar of Llanllwni and Capel Dewi (Llandysul) from 1987 until 1991.
From 1991 until 2004 Bryan was Vicar of Llangennech and Hendy, moving on as Vicar of St Clears, Llangynin, Llanddawror and Llanfihangel Abercywyn until 2015. Also during this time, he served as Assistant Diocesan Director of Education (1997-2009) and as Diocesan Director of Education from 2009 and continues in that role. He was made an Hon. Canon of St David’s Cathedral from 2011 until 2013 and Second Cursal Canon from 2013 and continues in that role.
He is also Province of Wales and Diocesan Chaplain to the Mothers’ Union and District Chaplain to the Royal British Legion. Being a member of Côr Glandulais fulfils his interest and love of music and choir singing.
